The Rovers Belles started well and controlled much of the first half-hour, Becky Musial tipping away a driven cross-shot from Emily Heckler and Wayne made a powerful headed clearance before Emma Tune made a timely block tackle. When Liz Hansen then looked certain to have opened the scoring, Wayne cleared off the line.

But the hosts went ahead against the run of play, when Kimberley Dixson prompted an attack, sending Tapp clear to cross for FARMER to head home at the far post on 33 minutes.

In the second-half, Emma Tune saw her goalbound strike blocked but on a quick break Hansen forced a superb point-blank save from Musial but she was helpless as WAYNE'S desperate clearance looped into the net for the equaliser.

The Addicks then lost defender Jay Blackie, hospitalised with a neck injury.

The Rovers Belles then piled on more and more pressure and Musial tipped a shot from Hansen onto the woodwork. Presh Hamilton fired just wide from 8 yards before skipper Exley had a shot well held by keeper Musial. Then substitite Johnson saw her effort again well saved by Musial.

The Addicks could have won the game in the final seconds, as Dixson broke clear and sent a powerful shot narrowly wide.

The Rovers Belles will be disappointed at not taking more of the numerous chances they created and miss out on moving up a place in the table.
