Thursday evening saw the Rovers host their 'Rovers Race Night' at the Belle Vue Bar, Keepmoat Stadium. Over 120 people came to join in the fun and have a flutter on the Rovers themed races. Guests backed winners such as 'Afro Goal Machine' and 'Coppinger's Caper' to win prize money as well as having the chance to win further prizes such as signed footballs, a signed copy of 'Never Another Saturday' and framed photographs.

Presentations to the winners were made by our very own Graeme Lee and Kevin Horlock.

The Charity Race had a slight twist to it in comparison to the norm of race night footage.

Race Night
Guests waiting in anticipation to place their bets ready for the next race.

The players very kindly took part in a Charity Crossbar Challenge, filmed by our Media Team and screened on the night, giving guests the opportunity to bet on how many times the crossbar was hit. Proceeds from this are to be donated to the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust. For further information on the charity please click on the link below.

Money was also raised on the Christmas Hamper Raffle for the Disabled Branch and Football in the Community.

An enjoyable evening was had by all, leaving guests asking when we are holding our next one!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and supported the Race Night.

Watch this space for future equally pleasurable events!
