SEAN SET FOR SHRIMPERS TEST
Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll has revealed that the disappointment of losing on the final day of the season against Cheltenham Town is past everybody involved with the Rovers - and that the focus and anticipation is now manifesting itself in getting ready for the Play-Offs and a possible trip to Wembley on the 25th.
First and foremost, however, the Rovers have to overcome the task of beating Southend United in the semi-finals of the Play-Offs, with the first of two legs taking place at Roots Hall on Friday evening (19:45 KO).
"We've put last week to bed - that was last week. It's been a good week in training, the weather has been good and the lads have seemed to enjoy themselves. We've got another opportunity now and not a lot of teams get the chance of having another opportunity."
"In football, as a player or as a manager, you deal with disappointment a lot more than you deal with success. Unless you are the top four in the Premier League - nobody gets that much success that often."
"The game against Southend this season was a close one; but you could say that of a lot of games this season. This one wont be any different to that and I'm sure that many teams in League One, League Two and even the Championship aren't used to playing in two-legged affairs. I think that if you look at the Play-Off results over the years - I think that people find it hard to win their home games, so whether it is home or away - they're going to be tight games."
