Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll could welcome back midfielder Mark Wilson for the return leg of Rovers' Play-Off semi final against Southend United at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The 29 year-old former Manchester United man has been out of action for the past two months, after tearing his groin in the 2-1 win over Gillingham at the Keepmoat.

However, this week has seen Mark rejoin training, kicking the ball about on Thursday when he spoke to Rovers World exclusively.

"It's [the injury] coming along great," said Wilson ahead of Rovers' travelling to Southend for the first leg of the Play-Off semi finals.

"There's been a lot of physio work, but to be able to kick a ball around with the lads has been great - and I am hoping that I am going to be ready for the second Play-Off game."

"I use that as a motivational tool every day - it's the one thought in my head. Can I get ready for it? Can I be fit for it? I am hoping that I will be."

Wilson's involvement in training this week has given him a great view of just how prepared Doncaster Rovers are for these vitally important two games against Southend.

"The training has been of a really good standard. We've been coming in every day and are completely focused on what we need to do. I think that this year, we will be the team that turns that 'third placed team never gets to the final' around."

"The players' attitude; the character that we have shown all season makes me think that we are going to make it. The gaffer and Richard O'Kelly won't let us forget about that. It's drummed into us every day and we have some really strong characters in the dressing room that will drag us through."

"People have been saying that Southend United are perhaps the better team of the three to get in the Play-Offs. I just think that the three teams probably wouldn't have wanted to get us. I think that Leeds, Carlisle and Southend all know the quality that we have in the side."

"Southend pipped us to the win earlier in the season; we were winning 2-1 at half-time. It's going to be a tough game, they have some quality players - but we are a quality side. They are in form, but you can't substitute the fact that we are a quality side. If we perform; we'll win the game."
