STOCK SET FOR SECOND LEG
A key factor in Doncaster Rovers success this term has been the consistent form of midfielder Brian Stock; a man with experience when it comes to success in the Play-Offs.
The Winchester-born play-maker has achieved promotion via the Play-Offs whilst under current manager Sean O'Driscoll's charge at AFC Bournemouth and been involved in the Championship Play-Offs whilst at Preston North End prior to joining back up with Sean at Doncaster Rovers.
"I thought that the first leg was a well-fought battle between two good sides," said the midfielder.
"I think that there were a few tackles in the game that showed just how much pride and passion each player has for their respective clubs and - although it was 0-0 - I thought that it was quite an entertaining game for the neutral."
"I was quite surprised that the game was only 0-0, because of the amount of goals that have been scored between the two clubs on the past couple of occasions. They are quite a big side, very determined, they have some good players and they have a few match-winners in their team. If you look at the teams in the Play-Offs, there's not a lot between each of them and each one of them deserves to go up. It's going to be an interesting occasion and if we can beat them at the Keepmoat, then what a wonderful occasion it could be to play at Wembley."
The first leg of this Play-Off semi final saw an awesome atmosphere created by both sets of supporters at Roots Hall - Brian Stock is hopeful that a bigger and better atmosphere can be created at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday evening.
"All season, apart from an understandable couple of occasions, the support at the Keepmoat Stadium has been fantastic and it is so important that the supporters get behind us tonight. Support this year has been brilliant, away from home as well as at home. I'm sure that the supporters will be giving more of the same on Friday. Away at Cheltenham; even though we didn't pick up the result - it was pleasing to see that the fans were still behind us and we now have a second bite of the cherry in the Play-Offs. But the support of the fans really lifted the players following the disappointment of Cheltenham and hopefully they can lift us on Friday."
