ROVERS PHOTOGRAPHER TAKES ON NEW ROLE
Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA have welcomed a new member to the team, with Doncaster Rovers' match day press officer and photographer Kate Evans joining as PR and Marketing Officer.
Kate has come on board to look after the PR and Marketing for the County FA, organising and promoting grassroots football events and related campaigns. Kate will also be tasked to implement a marketing and commercial strategy for Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, in line with recently launched FA National Game Strategy for grassroots football.
Kate has been a lifelong fan of football and after graduating from Sunderland University in July 2003, with a BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing went straight into to a role with the commercial team at Sunderland AFC. In August 2006, Kate decided to make the move back to South Yorkshire, and has worked for the last two seasons with Doncaster Rovers FC as a match day media officer/photographer, in addition to her day job with Mexborough based, Morphy Richards.
Kate explains, "I am very much looking forward to getting involved and promoting the great work that is carried out by the County FA, and making a contribution to football at the grassroots level of the game, with the overall objective of actively promoting a positive image of the County FA at all levels. My previous all round experience will be invaluable to my new role, and will allow me to offer a fresh and creative approach to PR and Marketing here at the County FA."
James Hope-Gill, Chief Executive of the County FA commented, "I am delighted to welcome Kate to the team here at the County FA. Kate's previous roles and experience will stand her in good stead in what is a demanding yet very rewarding role, as we look to both increase awareness of the County FA and grassroots football and make the most of our commercial potential."
