NELTHORPE SEALS ONE-YEAR DEAL
The final Rovers player out of contract at the end of the 2007-08 season has put to paper on a new contract with the Club.
Young midfielder Craig Nelthorpe has signed a new one-year deal with Doncaster Rovers, keeping him at the Keepmoat Stadium until summer 2009.
The 21-year old, who is Doncaster born and bred and made his way up through the Doncaster Rovers youth system, only made four appearances for the Rovers last term, utilised as a substitute in clashes against Huddersfield Town, Brighton and Hove Albion, Grimsby Town and Oldham Athletic.
With competition fierce for places in the Rovers squad, Nelthorpe was loaned out to two different teams during last season's campaign.
The winger made several appearances for Chris Wilder's Halifax Town side, before returning to the Rovers briefly.
Soon thereafter, Craig was reunited with former Rovers boss Dave Penney at Darlington (pictured), where the midfielder made eight appearances from March to the end of last season.
A gifted left-sided player, Nelthorpe will be hoping to push for a place in Sean O'Driscoll's squad.
