Physio Update
DoncasterRoversFC.co.uk caught up with Rovers' first-team physiotherapist John Dickens, to see who is receiving treatment during the first week of pre-season training.
"Jason Price is recovering from his ruptured Achilles tendon, which he had operated on three months ago. He's doing very well at the moment. He has a review with his surgeon on the 19th of this month and I am expecting the surgeon to let us push on now. I wouldn't want to give an exact date for his return to full training, but he is ahead of schedule."
"Mark McCammon is another player doing well. He is about three weeks away from full training. At the moment he is joining in with the running and ball work with all the lads. At the moment, we are saying that he is unable to join in on the contact aspect of training. He won't be able to do that until we get confirmation from the surgeon saying that we are able to do so. We'll hopefully get that at the end of this month."
"Kevin Horlock has unfortunately injured his shoulder joint and requires surgery. He had his operation last week and we are looking at an approximate spell of three months rehabilitation for him before he can start training again."
"Apart from that - James Coppinger's hernia repair has gone very well. He's a week away from full training and has recovered very well. Apart from a few minor knocks and strains that are normal in pre-season, everything is going very well."
DoncasterRoversFC.co.uk will be talking to John every week to catch up on the latest with the injured players. Check the website again next week to read the latest.
