DEFENDER ROBERTS READY FOR FOREST
Doncaster Rovers full back Gareth Roberts has played 35 games this season, scoring two goals and establishing himself as a key part of the Rovers machine. A defender with a great left foot, Roberts has created problems for opposition at both ends of the pitch this season. Surprising then, that Rovers' draw against Oldham, saw Roberts receive his first ever Man of the Match award since being at Doncaster Rovers.
"It was my first Man of the Match award since I've been at Donny, yeah. To be fair, in that game, I don't think that I was any different to how I have played throughout the entire season. Maybe it's my white boots, I don't know! I'm just happy to play every game and go out and play well."
Despite the Rovers achieving a point against the Latics, in what was the two teams' fifth meeting this term, for Gareth Roberts it should have been the full three. However, Gareth believes that there are plenty of games to make up for the points lost.
"It was definitely disappointing. I though that we played really well in patches. We played really well at times. At other times, we let their attacking players get through us. I was disappointed with their goal; I think that they only had one shot in the second half and it has gone in - from the substitute as well. So, we are disappointed with that and it is frustrating. We have lost two games and drawn one in the last three - to slip up at this stage is frustrating, but we need to hang in there. There are seven games left and we need maximum points from all."

The Rovers' next League One clash sees them take on Nottingham Forest at Keepmoat Stadium on Friday night. The encounter should see a bumper crowd fill the Keepmoat, in what is Forest's first visit to the new home of the Rovers. This fixture last season was the final game to be played at Belle Vue.
"Hopefully, it will be a big crowd," says Gareth.
"It seems to be one of the local derbies for Donny, so it is a massive game. They have been patchy throughout the season and it is going to be a massive game, full of tension. If the fans get behind us, which we know that they can, and support us, then we will push on. They have been a bit quiet in the past few games - but we want to start hearing them sing throughout the entire game. I know it's disappointing that we're not winning - but hang in there, stick with us and everything will come full circle."
Roberts is aware of the quality within the Forest side. However, he believes that when it comes to looking at players' capabilities, it should be Forest who are worried.
"Kris Commons is a really decent player, has a great left peg on him. We all know about how good a player he is. Then there is Tyson up front, who is quick and Junior Agogo, who's been out in the African Cup of Nations this year and has great experience - scores goals. They have good players - but we do too! They should be watching out for us!"
