Veronica was the Rovers Belles third signing in the summer of 2007. Veronica has played for the Italian national side both at Under 17 and Under 19 level. She has represented her country in many tournaments across Europe at both age groups including European Championship Qualification matches, the La Manga International tournament in Spain and the Portalegre International tournament in Portugal.

Veronica joined the club from Italian Premiere League (Serie A) side CF Torino after a successful trial period at the club. Cantoro had moved to CF Torino in the summer of 2006 following a very productive spell with ACF Alessandria. Veronica played for ACF Alessandria in Serie B in the 2005/06 season, where she established herself as an accomplished performer both in defence and in midfield. Between 2002-2005 she played for USSR La Chivasso (Real Canavese) a team in the Italian Serie B. Cantoro joined them from her hometown club AC Chieri. Veronica started her football career at local side AC Cheiri where she progressed right through their junior ranks.
